70 Side Hustle Ideas To Get a Second Income Stream Going in 2021

by Brandon | Last Updated: September 29, 2021

The goal of this article is to help you uncover side hustle ideas to start your second (or 3rd, 4th) income stream.

Side hustle ideas are not enough though, we need to execute on them.

I believe there is a saying something along the lines of “an idea without execution is just a fantasy.”

So, what better way to help you out with the execution side of things by actually trying them myself and writing about them to let you know what works, what doesn’t work and most importantly HOW TO GET STARTED!

Think of it as a play by play handbook that you can use to get going.

That brings us to the question…why 70 side hustle ideas?

Well, because 69 sounded too dirty and I was running out of ideas after 70 lol.

I’ll separate these first by online side hustles and then by physical side hustles.

They’re also in mostly no particular order.

I can’t promise I’ll actually take on all of these but I hope to get to a good bit of them…to be honest I have zero interest in some of these side hustles.

Also, this is going to be long. Really long. My advice is skim through the table of contents below and click on any that might pique your interest.

Here goes…

Table of Contents hide

Online Side Hustle Ideas

I’m going to classify the online side hustles as something you can do without leaving your home. It may require some physical work but you should be able to do most tasks without leaving your house if you don’t want to.

Amazon FBA

You’re going to be reselling things using arbitrage methods.

If you’re not familiar with arbitrage it is basically finding inefficiencies in two different marketplaces and then leveraging your time and/or money to bridge that gap.

There are two main ways you can do this: online arbitrage (OA) where you just buy things online and resell them online, or retail arbitrage (RA) where you go to say an actual Walmart to buy some stuff and then turn around and sell it on Amazon.com.

My favorite way to do this is to buy from Amazon.com and turn around to sell right back on Amazon.com using Fulfilled By Amazon (FBA). I’ve written about this a lot already on this site and you can get started here.

Sell on eBay

You’ve maybe already done this and didn’t even realize it could be a side hustle. You can start by selling things you have just laying around your house collecting dust. I guarantee you there is a lot of money just sitting around waiting to be sold.

Sell on Walmart

Once you get a little experience under your belt with something like selling on Amazon I highly recommend you move over and start selling on Walmart. It can be a great place to also sell some of the same products from traditional arbitrage methods but also a decent enough place to sell print on demand t-shirts.

Etsy Store

Etsy is more known for handmade crafts but you can sell a wide variety of things on there. From stickers to t-shirts (which my wife and I have sold a ton of on there.) They’ve opened up a lot of competition on there by allowing “production partners” so you never have to even touch the product. Don’t sleep on Etsy.

Amazon Handmade

Do you have a hobby where you make some sort of handmade item?

Side Hustle Ideas - Dreamcatcher

Maybe it’s something cool like a dreamcatcher.

While Etsy would also be a good place to sell this, you should check out Amazon Handmade.

You need a professional seller account to apply ($39.99 a month) but if you already have one from selling on FBA you can use the same one.

Other items that would work here:

Amazon does check your items though so reselling here is not going to work. And I also would not jeopardize my regular FBA account trying to do this!

Start a Print on Demand T-shirt Business

My wife and I started selling t-shirts back in 2012 and back then you had to learn to do everything yourself. I literally learned to screen print. It was hard work. Then DTG (Direct to Garment) technology became much better and allowed for much more outsourcing.

Today you don’t even have to ever see or touch the shirt in person to have a successful print on demand shirt business.

Merch By Amazon

This goes hand in hand with the above Print On Demand business, but is another avenue to sell your shirts. A little bit more difficult to get started and approved but it can be a great source of income once you get your PoD feet wet.

It can be a little bit harder to get an account approved here.

Buy and Sell Sports Cards or Trading Cards

Depending on when you were born you may have lived through the junk wax era where card companies printed millions of cards which basically made all but a few pretty worthless.

However, throughout history some real gems have appeared that are ripe for investing in.

Here’s the TLDR of sports cards:

Look at top vintage players whos careers are already cemented. Jordan, Kobe (RIP), Lebron, Tom Brady, etc.

Try to find the true rookie card.

Stay away from newer players. It’s gambling. Plus card companies are back to printing a ton of cards. (There will be very little new supply of 1986 Jordan, 1996 Kobe or 2003 Lebron rookie cards.)

Zion Williamson could be a HOFer, or he could blow his knees out next year and be out of the league.

Sealed wax is a great investment, especially if you get older vintage stuff.

For example, I bought a box of 2003 Topps NBA cards for $3500 (off ebay) and flipped it a few months later for $7000 (on ebay.)

Start small and work your way up. You can buy/sell individual packs of cards too.

Trading cards like Pokemon are great too. As Gary Vee says, you don’t have to worry about Pikachu tearing an ACL.

If you’d like to read more on how to sell sports cards on ebay then check out the article I wrote.

Get Paid To Watch Ads

Did you know you can actually get paid to watch ads?

This is a pretty cool idea, IMO…you already watch/listen to ads daily via TV, radio, podcasts, etc. so why not get some direct cash for it?

AdWallet promises at least $.50 and up to $3 per video ad you watch. I suppose you also have to give feedback on the ad too.

Payouts include a Mastercard Prepaid card or eGift cards to places like Amazon or Target. Nice.

Is it worth your time though? I suggest reading my experience on making money watching ads first before you try this.

Be Part Of An Online Focus Group

This is a crazy interesting one. I’m sure you’ve seen those focus groups where say a company does a demo of a new toy they are releasing and they get feedback from a group of people?

What they like or dislike about it?

Apparently now it’s easier than ever to join one of those yourself online, via a company called User Interviews.

You’d think this is going to be one of those side hustle ideas where you get paid like 10 cents per session, right?

But look at this screen shot from their website:

User Interviews Payout

OK, I see you…there’s actually some good money in there.

Browsing through the list of online only options I see many studies that are paying $60 an hour or more on average.

Get Paid To Take Surveys

There are many online survey sites out there but one of the most popular is Branded Surveys – they offer a point system and you can redeem for cash deposited right to your Paypal account.

TBD what the payout is like per survey.

Some other survey sites: Toluna and Swagbucks

You definitely won’t get rich off any of these, but if you have some time to kill while waiting in a Doctor’s office or the airport or something like that I could see it being worth doing.

Gig It Up on Fiverr

If you have any sort of digital skillset and are looking for side hustle ideas why haven’t you tried Fiverr yet?

Maybe you don’t think you have any skillset suitable for Fiverr?

Can you write? There are always people needing content written, and willing to pay for it.

Are you good with Photoshop? There are tons of needs from logos to headers to social media image formats.

Do you have legal/financial/business skills? You can consult on Fiverr.

Seriously, the jobs on there are endless. Go browse around this page to get a feel for just how many different ideas there are.

Build Affiliate Sites

This is one of my favorite side hustle ideas. However, it takes time to see results.

You do have to learn a few different elements to make this work out.

Basically a good affiliate site is partly (good to great) content writing + persuasion + SEO.

If you get those 3 things right, oh man can you make a lot of money.

Another instance where patience = profit.

You can also shortcut this a bit by either buying a site or building on an expired domain.

Capterra Paid Reviews

You’re not gonna get rich off this one but you can earn up to $100 for writing up to 10 reviews on capterra.com

Here are just a few popular software suites that you’ve probably used and could review:

Also, you could possibly earn an additional $50 by getting friends to sign up and write a review which would net you $10 for each friend.

Earn Money Writing

As mentioned above, there are always people needing content written for blogs, articles, e-books, etc.

Do you have a way with words?

You could earn some extra bank by filling that need for someone.

Maybe you have some hobbies you’re passionate about, or job experiences that would transfer over into helpful articles.

You can probably make somewhere from $0.06 a word to $0.10 a word.

That doesn’t sound like a lot but let’s do some math.

Realistically, even with some research involved you should be able to write 2000 words a day on virtually any topic.

2000 words x $0.06 = $120

Do that 7 days a week and you’ve got an extra $40k a year.

As you write more it will get easier also, maybe you can write 3000 words a day.

And as you get better you can charge more. 3000 words a day x $0.10 a word is $109,500 a year…a real legit income.

Graphic Design Side Hustle Ideas

If I could go back and do it all again, I would have spent more time learning Photoshop or Illustrator as a kid.

There’s so much money to be made if you’re a good graphic designer.

Logos, headers, instagram and facebook ads, etc, etc.

If you’re reliable and learn to design the above you can print money.

Get to it.

Upwork or Fiverr are the best places to sell your graphic design talents.

Start a Youtube Channel

What do you know that could be turned into video content?

If you feel like the answer to that is nothing then you could always learn a new skill.

Document your journey of learning a new skill. It doesn’t always have to be expert advise.

Maybe people connect with you more because they feel they are closer to your level and they aren’t as intimidated.

You don’t know if you don’t try.

Probably one of the best ways to get started on YT is to check out Nick Nimmin

Make Tik Tok Content Without Dancing

Similar to the above, just start creating something.

It doesn’t have to be whatever the latest dance style is (please don’t! The world does not need anymore TikTok dancing videos.)

Just make some quick short form content and see what happens.

There is still room for tremendous growth on this platform.

My man Jerry Lew actually put out a Tik Tok growth course that is pretty awesome.

Social Media Manager

Do you spend way more time on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram than you should?

That could actually be a skill.

If you’re good at posting and getting engagement, that is a very monetizable skill.

I’d start by looking at some local establishments that have websites but terrible social media pages and reach out to them.

Your pitch is that you will drive more engagement and awareness to their business/brand.

Don’t be afraid to work for free to start to collect social proof.

Web Designer Side Hustle Ideas

Web design is so much easier now than it used to be.

Anyone can literally build an amazing site in no time with WordPress and either Astra or Elementor page builders.

Want work? Reach out to local businesses that have terrible websites and offer to bring them into the 21st century.

Don’t think you can handle the designing and client outreach?

Be a broker.

Outsource to someone on Fiverr or Upwork and you focus on collecting new clients.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

Can you get pages to rank near the top of Google?

This is a super in demand skill.

Local SEO is relatively easy and hardly ever paid attention to by local businesses.

Your best target clients are probably going to be nice websites that are on first or second pages of your search results.

Or ones that are running ads on the keyword but not ranking.

Both show they at least have some idea of the ROI of marketing since SEO is never a short game.

Create Facebook Ads

If you already know how to run profitable Facebook ads then you need to either create a product to promote or help other people promote their business/product.

Don’t know how to run FB Ads? Miles Beckler has a great free guide you can learn from.

Run Google Adwords Campaigns

Ah, I remember the good old days when you could get 5 cent clicks from Google.

Those days are long gone, but Adwords is still alive and well.

Did you know Google ads raked in 147 billion dollars last year?!?

Learn from Ivan on how to get a piece of this pie:

Microsoft Advertising With Bing

The forgotten soldier of the advertising world. Bing ads are still very viable and could be very lucrative.

Bing brought in Microsoft a still impressive 7.74 billion dollars of revenue in 2020.

So don’t sleep on Bing.

Same as above applies, check out Ivan again for more:

Cold Email Outreach

Do you cringe at the thought of making cold calls?

Yeah, me too.

But what if you never had to talk to anyone?

You can cold email people and set appointments for other companies.

Look, all businesses need more leads. Leads are expensive too.

You contact people, pass on the interested ones to the business and collect your money.

Cold Email Mastery is a comprehensive course on how to pull this off.

Agency Owner

Hey, if you’ve mastered any of the 7 side hustle ideas above, why not start an Agency?

Once you build up your clients, hire out the down and dirty parts and focus on the higher revenue generating portions.

Don’t forget to document everything and build systems as you go so it’s much easier to hire out when the time comes.

Need some help? Check out the Agency Roadmap to get started.

Answer Questions Online

Maybe you’re an expert in some field but just don’t think it will translate to the online world?

You look around at all these SaaS kids and think dammit, I went down the wrong path?

Not so fast…your expert opinion could be worth $2000 to $7000 a month by just answering questions online.

It takes about two weeks to apply and get accepted so start now. JustAnswer.com

You make your own schedule and pick and choose which questions you answer.

Consulting Side Hustle Ideas

Much like the above section about answering questions.

Maybe your narrow niche expertise is something other people need help with?

Let’s say you were a Logistics Coordinator – maybe you could start consulting for other companies on how to streamline their logistics needs.

The key is leveraging your expert knowledge into creating value for someone else.

This could be as simple as Googling companies in your niche and reaching out to them and let them know if they ever need an expert in the field you are open to consulting.

If you’re serious about this, I would at least set up a simple website with your qualifications and a contact form and funnel people through there.

FYI, LinkedIn would be a great place to connect to B2B executives and bypass the gatekeepers also.

Facebook Marketplace

Most of the unwanted stuff around your house can probably be sold on eBay, but the bulkier stuff you may want to list on FBM.

You can sell locally and save on shipping and fees.

On the flip side, you may be able to buy some stuff and sell it on a different marketplace.

Facebook Marketplace

Transcribe Audio

Looking for side hustle ideas you can do in your downtime?

What about transcription?

You can get paid around $15-22 per audio hour that you convert into text.

Think about it, lots of people record interviews, podcasts, phone calls, etc and want a written copy of this later.

That’s where you come in and can get paid to make this happen

Transcribe Me

Teach English Online

Are you good at explaining things or teaching your skills to others?

Then you may be a good fit to teach English online to other students.

You only need to know English as these are full immersion English as a Second Language classes.

Earnings range somewhere in the $14-18/hr range or $1500-2000/mo but on YOUR schedule.

Who this would be good for: Digital Nomads – I know this may not seem like a lot of money but if you were in a place like Medellin, Colombia…you’d be a baller.

Get Started: VIPKID

Teach a Different Language/Subject Online

Maybe you are fortunate enough to already know a different language.

Why not put those skills to use teaching others?

Preply is a place where you can begin tutoring others in a wide array of subjects, from language to math to programming and much more.

Amazon KDP Side Hustle Ideas

Have you ever dreamed of being a publisher?

Maybe you fancy yourself as the next George RR Martin or JK Rowling…

There’s no better time to be alive than right now for being an author.

Amazon KDP allows you to publish your book with 0 risk.

Basically, they’re printing on demand, and will give you 70% of the sales price.

KDP is not limited to books either. You could certainly sell planners or journals on there too.

Join Amazon KDP here. If you already have an Amazon account you can just use that to sign in.

Create a Udemy Course

I’m sure you have some talent.

You probably don’t even realize it either.

What comes super easy to you is perhaps really hard for someone else.

It could be as simple as using Microsoft Office or Programming…or any of the other side hustles on this list.

Udemy offers you the chance to create a course and sell it.

Look at just a few of these offers that popped up for me…most are based around some of these side hustle ideas.

Side Hustle Ideas - Create a Udemy Course

Now if you could flesh out a whole course on this?

Wow. Just look at the amount of reviews some of these have.

The upside is that you can get your course in front of a lot of people. The downside is Udemy kinda owns the “student” so I’m not sure if you can do any follow up marketing.

You’d have to push them towards a social page or website in the training.

Become a Virtual Assistant

If you’re good at a certain skill such as data entry, accounting (like Quickbooks), time management, etc. then maybe a virtual assistant gig would be up your ally.

You can find VA jobs on sites like FlexJobs, Fiverr, or Upwork…plus many more.

Create Study Guides / Sell Your Notes

Are you fresh out of school?

Did you take really good notes?

Maybe someone else could benefit from your prior experiences.

You can possible sell your notes to a company like Stuvia.

Review Resumes For Other People

Do you have expertise in a specific industry like Investment Banking?

There are lots of people trying to break into this industry and would love some tips or another pair of eyes on their resume.

Create a quick webpage for consultations (could include a calendly link for booking.)

Build social proof on Twitter and direct the link in your bio to your web page.

Or, you could even run ads direct to the website.

Resell a PLR E-Book

PLR stand for Private Label Rights, meaning you can resell (or give away) the contents of the e-book or whatever it may be.

The key is finding PLR e-books that don’t look and read like crap.

Probably one of the better market places is The PLR Store.

How would this work?

Well, just for kicks, one of the books I see listed is called Top Immune Boosters.

We could buy that and do one of two things.

Either way we’d probably wind up running FB ads to the offer page.

Another option would be if you had an existing site that was already similar in nature, you could promote something like one of these e-books on there as either the lead magnet or to get sales.

Website Flipping as a Side Hustle

There are many nuances to website flipping.

Done right, you can make a lot of money.

You need to make sure you’re getting a clean site that hasn’t had any shady black hat SEO done on it (PBNs, “guest posting”, spam links etc)

The content needs to be good to start with or at least to the point where you can improve it.

You’re looking for easy wins.

Any of the three above will boost your revenue by probably 50%.

For simplicity sake, let’s say you buy a site making $100 a month for $3600. (36x multiple.)

You do the above improvements and get the site to making $150/mo for several months.

Congrats, your site is now worth $5400 (36 x $150/mo) plus you got to pocket the money coming in every month before you re-sell it.

Foundation is key. Be careful, and do your due diligence or you will get burned.

Expired Domain Flipping

These could be considered Auction Domains too.

When a domain expires, the registrar will often auction it off right near the end of the grace period.

You wouldn’t believe the amount of domains that come up for auction.

I mean, some really powerful ones.

If you snag a good one, you can either re-sell it in Facebook Groups or build a site of your own on top of it.

Just to give you an example. One site I was monitoring with a DR (domain rating) of 21 and clean links including from gov and edu pages sold for $165.

My favorite place right now for these types of domains is GoDaddy Auctions.

Just make sure to do your due diligence again, run these sites through tools like Ahrefs and SEMrush to make sure they have clean links.

Podcast

Do you have a fun or interesting hobby?

Maybe you’re just good at conversation and love talking to others?

Start a Podcast!

It has never been easier in the history of mankind to do this.

Your phone is literally a recording studio now thanks to sites like Anchor.fm that help you record and distribute podcasts.

Provide User Feedback

User Testing will pay you for feedback on features of websites or apps.

Once you get signed up and get a match, here’s what the revenue opportunities look like:

Become a Twitch Streamer

Do you love playing video games?

If you’re any good or at least entertaining you could be cashing in.

You get to keep a percentage of all subscriber fees and most of any donations.

It can be a grind to build a community, but once you do you can make some serious bank.

Top streamers like NickMercs are easily making over 1 million dollars a year!

Mechanical Turk – Amazon

MTurk is a crowdsourcing marketplace where basically you get paid to do very mundane tasks.

These tasks literally take no skill at all to complete and therefore aren’t going to make you a lot of money.

However, if you are just sitting down vegging out on Netflix for 12 hours straight on the weekends that’s not really adding to your piggy bank either.

Perspective is everything and if that’s something you want to do and enjoy, why not throw in some mindless tasks and make a few coins while you’re at it?

Something is better than nothing.

Just don’t use your productive hours on this one.

There are far better options on this page for side hustle ideas.

Start with Mechanical Turk here.

Real World Side Hustle Ideas

I’ve classified all of these side hustles as ones that require you to venture outside of your house into this scary world. So yeah, they will take some more effort than the online side hustles. But maybe it’s time for some fresh air anyway?

Be A Tour Guide

Do you live in a popular tourist destination? There’s probably something cool to do there that you know or like. You could literally get paid to show other people this cool thing.

Some examples:

Seattle – I went there once and there was something called a “grunge tour” where this lady picked us up in her mini van and drove us all around Seattle and showed us all the grunge scene spots of the early 90s. We got to see some spots we otherwise would not have known about. And Kurt Cobain’s house which was pretty wild. It was like $100 for an hour and well worth it.

She had a good paying job and just said screw it, she’d much rather drive people around and show them something that she was passionate about.

NYC: It’s incredible how many different tours you can find here. There is so much to do and so much history. One tour we went on was the Wall Street tour where a guide or two takes you all around the famous areas of Wall Street and explains to you some of the history surrounding banking in NYC.

Really neat and a really good side hustle idea for someone that has any sort of banking experience.

Uber or Lyft Driver

If you have a newer car you can get paid to drive people around. Like being a taxi service but without the ugly yellow car or a boss nagging you.

Fun fact, my real estate agent also side hustles as a Lyft driver.

Deliver Food

There are so many gig life delivery services now that you can get started with pretty much today. Doordash or Uber Eats are probably the two most well known. A couple others you may or may not have heard of: Postmates or Bitesquad.

Caveat: This does require a car less than 10 years old.

Babysitting

This is possibly one of the oldest side hustles around.

If you have any friends or family with younger kids, then I’m sure they’d probably jump at the chance to have a night out by themselves.

Especially with all that has been going on in the world lately.

If you’re a trustworthy person that has your stuff together you could make a good chunk of change babysitting in your spare time.

House Sitting

This one is a little wild. You can actually house sit for someone.

Now, payment may technically be you living there rent free, but still, this could be a good opportunity for someone to travel around and house hack in a sense.

I found several places that were needing someone for well over a month…sometimes even a year.

The downside is it does usually cost like $20 or $30 to sign up to these sites and there may be some chores involved…watering plants or maybe even taking care of some pets.

Either way, earn some other WiFi money while saving on one of the biggest expenses: rent.

Check out MindMyHouse or Luxury House Sitting to see if any tickles your fancy.

Handyman Side Hustle Ideas

Do you consider yourself handy?

Able to do basic tasks like put together cabinets?

Tile work? Landscaping? Painting?

Maybe advertise your services as a handyman then.

Believe it or not lots of people cannot or simply do not want to do the above tasks themselves.

Take it to the next level and become a pro on sites like Thumbtack or HouseCallPro.

Garage Sales / Yard Sales

If you have a lot of big and bulky stuff in your house that maybe isn’t so great for eBaying, then why not have a yard sale?

Some areas even have “community yard sales” where they pick a weekend and a lot of houses in your area might participate which usually drives more traffic your way.

Host Garage Sales / Yard Sales

Hey, if you’ve gotten good at hosting yard sales for yourself, why not offer to sell some of your friends or family’s unwanted stuff and you keep a percentage of the money you bring in.

You could even offer pickup/delivery of their items.

I know I’d pay someone else to not have to bother with a yard sales for like 5-10 items.

Amazon Flex

Ever see someone pull up to your house in a regular car and they jump out with an Amazon vest on and bring you that box with a smile on it?

That could be you!

If you have your own car, you could deliver packages for Amazon.

With a pay range of $18-25/hr this could be a neat little side hustle.

Check it out and see if they’re hiring in your area.

I put this one right under Amazon Flex because Amazon will suck the blood out of you if you let them. Haha, j/k Amazon. Don’t hurt me.

Anyway, you can donate plasma for money.

Looks like you can get around $100 per donation and can donate up to twice a week.

I would google “donate blood for money” and check the reviews of locations around you.

Gotta be careful messing around with someone sticking a needle in you!

Start a Cleaning Business As A Side Hustle

Any time there is a task people don’t want to do, there is opportunity for you. Keep that in mind with any of these side hustle ideas.

You could either become a private maid for homes or you could start a cleaning service that handles offices and businesses.

Given the current situation people are going to maybe be a little hesitant to use a service like that.

But, that’s where you present your cleaning services with safety and sanitation in mind.

Think of what you could do to ease their mind by using your services.

Do you offer a deep cleaning? Some sort of unique disinfection process?

Start with family and friends at deep discounts to build referrals and then build a simple site showcasing your testimonials along with a phone number and contact form.

Dog Walking

Becoming a dog walker or dog sitter on a site like Rover could easily lead to an extra $1000 a month in income.

After all the commissions/fees you’re probably looking at something in the range of $15-20/hr.

You can possibly earn more through tips or if you offer additional services like boarding.

One competitor to Rover worth trying is called Wag, but they take 40% of your earnings which is a bit steep compared to the already hefty 20% that Rover takes.

Lawn Mowing Side Hustle Ideas

Far from the most glamourous item on this list but you could literally find a cheap or free mower on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace and be in business today.

Mowing the lawn is hard and dirty work, which most people don’t want to do.

You can probably earn $15-$20 an hour easily doing this.

As you get going, upgrade to better equipment to make it faster for you to cut and trim.

How to start?

Secure a lawn mower and then just start walking around your neighborhood looking for anyone with a shaggy lawn.

Knock on their door and see if they want to get their lawn cut right then and there.

When you’re done, see if you can sign them up as an ongoing customer.

Make a spreadsheet with Name, Address, Phone Number, Date, Amount Charged so you know who and when to service.

Pressure Washing

Nick Huber (@sweatystartup on Twitter) presented a great thread on starting a pressure washing business.

Basically, you hustle to book appointments for a Saturday and then go rent a pressure washer on that Saturday morning.

You can use the same techniques above…go around your neighborhood and look for dirty vinyl fences, dirty driveways, etc.

Ask if they want their whatever cleaned.

Nick goes into a lot more detail and you should really check it out but there is some serious money in pressure washing.

Snow Blowing

This one is a lot more seasonal and may not even apply to you at all.

I live in Florida so the chances of us seeing snow are slim to none.

But anyway, follow the above blueprint for either lawn mowing or pressure washing and you could have yourself a legit snow blowing business.

Free stuff from FB or Craigslist

You can legit go find free stuff on Craigslist or FB and turnaround and sell it for money on ebay or other places.

Some people just want things gone and don’t want to bother with having to list things or ship or deliver, etc.

Take it off their hands and make a buck. Everyone is happy.

Side note: a lot of times you can drive around neighborhoods and people will put things out by the street.

If they look good, maybe you can sell it. If there is metal in it you could always scrap it for money.

Hand Out Flyers

You can get paid $12/hr + performance bonuses for handing out flyers either to residential homes or hand to hand in a busy location.

Check out Think Flyers.

Photography Side Hustle Ideas

Are you good at taking pictures?

Do you live in a place with awesome buildings, great sunrises or sunsets, beautiful landscapes or something else unique?

Or, like Peter McKinnon shared once, he used to go into staged homes and take pics to sell online. =)

You don’t need any expensive equipment, you could simply use your phone, it probably takes better pictures than most handheld cameras under $1000 anyway.

So, you’ve got some good pictures…what now?

Well, I’d look to post them on multiple sites starting with – Adobe, Shutterstock, and Alamy.

Cast a wide net. There are plenty more to expand to also.

Flipping Pallets

This can be a tricky experience and I would not just YOLO into it without some serious selling experience on other marketplaces.

You can find some pallets locally through liquidators. Google It

There are a few online also, you can bid on pallets from companies like Liquidation.com

Check out this one listing:

Side Hustle Ideas - Flipping Pallets

Important to note: it is very risky to sell these items on Amazon. You will not have valid receipts if Amazon were to ever ask you for proof of purchase as they consider this to be more like buying from a yard sale lol.

So if you’re going to do this plan more for like eBay or Facebook Marketplace.

Or you can be like my neighbors who seem to order pallets and have constant yard sales…hey – if it works, it works. Side hustle ideas come in all shapes and sizes.

Wedding Officiant

Ever thought of marrying people for money?

You can become ordained online and start helping people tie the knot.

There’s a lot of potential here if you’re willing to travel a bit.

My wife and I had a fairly simple ceremony and we hired a wedding officiant to perform the deed.

It’s pretty common.

Note: Check local laws about this, you might be able to accomplish this just being a notary.

Mystery Shopper

I’m sure you’ve heard of mystery shoppers or secret shoppers before.

Well, if you ever wondered how you to can get on that action then check out BestMark

They allow you to take on assignments and get paid for shopping or trying to services in your area.

Pizza Delivery Driver

Similar to the whole Doordash and Uber Eats but you’d be working for one company delivering their pizza.

Depending on where you live you’re probably looking at something like $10/hr + tips and mileage.

Usually pizza orders are larger which may bring in more tips than the Doordash style deliveries.

Be a Friend

This has to be one of the more odd side hustle ideas I can think of, but yes, you can make money being someone’s friend.

It all starts at RentAFriend.com where you can create a profile and rent your time out.

Maybe someone wants a friend to go to a concert or a sports game. A plus one for a wedding.

Who knows?

They claim to have some members making over $2000 a week doing this full time.

If you do this, please be safe and tell other people who you will be with and where you’ll be going.

Have some sort of emergency code word planned you can text or something.

Seriously, you can’t be too careful.

The good news is they offer “remote friendship” options now too…so maybe try that first lol.

Sell Snacks/Candy

Remember how much money you used to make selling candy at school for those fundraisers?

Well, you can make that for yourself by selling to co-workers.

Lots of places don’t have vending machines or at least nothing good in them.

Go somewhere like Sam’s Club or Costco and buy candy in bulk and then resell it to your co-workers.

Cash money baby.

Instacart Side Hustle

I don’t know a whole lot of people that like to go grocery shopping.

And like I said before where there is a task that people don’t want to do, there is opportunity for you.

Instacart allows you to get paid for doing the shopping (and sometimes delivery) of groceries for others.

It can take some time to get approved so I’d suggest signing up sooner than later.

Mobile Notary Signing Agent

Becoming a mobile notary has a lot of opportunity.

Think of some reasons people would need a mobile notary (instead of just going to a notary like at a UPS store.):

And that’s where you come in. It only costs somewhere around $100 to get a license. May vary with each state.

If you’re reliable and presentable, you could probably get in with a lot of banks and/or insurance agencies to provide this service.

More info than you could ever want right here.

Final Thoughts

Well, that took a while.

I hope at the very least I’ve sparked some new side hustle ideas so you can go out and start making some money.

The way the world is trending I firmly believe you want to be working for yourself at the very least.

Best case scenario, you’ve got multiple streams of income throwing money at you.

Start hustling today, it’s not too late to get that bag!
