Amazon Lego Restriction – Known Item List 2021

by Brandon | Last Updated: September 23, 2021

There’s nothing worse than buying inventory you can’t sell. The dreaded Amazon LEGO restriction roadblock.

It happens to the best of us.

I think it’s important to quickly point out that this is not a “gating” issue where you just need to submit an invoice to get ungated.

If you’re looking for more information on how to get ungated in lego on amazon then check out the post I made about that.

How To Easily Tell If a LEGO Set Is Restricted

The easiest way to tell if there are any Amazon LEGO restrictions is by using the RevSeller extension. <<< Read my guide if you don’t already have it installed, it’s an awesome tool.

Anyway, if you see Revseller populate its box and it has the little “Restr” icon in the top right then that is not good. (Big note: for this to work properly, you need to use Revseller in Chrome and also login to your Amazon seller central account from Chrome and link them via an API key so they all play nice with each other. All of this is explained in my guide that I linked above.)

Don’t have Revseller and maybe don’t want it? You can tell from within Amazon Seller Central too.

Go to the Add Products page and search for the item by ASIN or LEGO set number and if it is restricted then the listing will show Not Available like the image below.

So now that you know how to spot these restricted LEGOs on your own when doing your research…

Amazon LEGO Restriction List

Here’s my known list of restricted LEGOs on Amazon so hopefully you can avoid buying them.

The set number link will take you direct to the Amazon listing page. The “Check Product” link will take you directly to the page in Add Product under Catalog in Amazon Seller Central.

A few important notes.

Older sellers may not be restricted on these sets. Depending on when they started selling on either Amazon itself or the particular listing in question they may be grandfathered in.

I have sold some of these listings before, only to find they were restricted later when I went to send in more inventory after I sold out, so this is another possibility you have to plan for. It is rare, but it happens.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Here are some more general questions and answers.

Will The Restriction Ever Be Lifted?

Possibly, but not likely. I’ve seen them carry on for years as restricted.

I Bought Some Restricted LEGOs – What Should I Do?

Your best options are probably:

If you bought them, hopefully they are at least good sets. If they are, you should be able to do alright holding until Christmas or so. (I can hear the horror from the future people reading this in March reading that last sentence lol.)

Are These All The Amazon Restricted LEGOs?

No, definitely not! These are the ones I know for sure as of the last update to this page. I will keep updating this page as I find more restricted LEGO sets.

If you come across a set that is not on this page then send me a DM on Twitter so I can let the world know. Thanks.

Final Thoughts

I know it’s a bummer to run into an Amazon LEGO restriction, especially if you already bought some.

Is it the end of the world?

Hell no!

As sellers we are constantly having to adapt to all sorts of changes.

There are other avenues to sell them also, as mentioned above.

So learn, adapt and overcome!

You got this.
